Nasrallah said the attacks, which have killed at least 37 people and injured thousandswere a “hard blow” and he accused Tel Aviv of having crossed a “red line”. The Hezbollah leader also said that the group is investigating the incident, which international analysts now also attribute to Israel.

Although Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attacks, a former senior official of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad described the operation as “a success.” CNN also revealed that a few hours before the first explosion, that of hundreds of pagers, Israel reportedly warned the US of an impending operation in Lebanon.

What else did Nasrallah say during his speech?

During his speech Nasrallah admitted that there is no doubt that the attack with the devices constitutes a security breachadding that the Israeli operation “is a declaration of war against the sovereignty of Lebanonit is an act of war.”

Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Hezbollah leader said that Israel will fail to bring its citizens back to the North and will receive due punishment for the attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday. “No military escalation, no killing, no assassination and no all-out war can bring residents back to the border.”

This week’s attacks against his group will be met with “just punishment,” Nasrallah said, adding that He will not reveal where or when.
