The ATM and credit card are now a reality. Especially after the lockdown, many young people and not only use cards. Yet it happens that some shopkeepers still turn up their noses. A father tells us, Mirko Moffa, on vacation in Gallipoli with a video that then went viral on TikTok. Moffa’s daughter was thirsty and for this reason they went into a bar, but when it was time to pay with the debit card the response was: “Sorry, but we do not accept debit card payments for just two bottles of water.“.
But the father doesn’t agree: “This is something I absolutely did not accept. – he said – how is it possible that in 2024 they continue to bother me about payments with the debit card? Open the premises, in a tourist place, you can’t tell me that you don’t accept payment with the POS because two euros are too little. This is unacceptable, my daughter was thirsty and it was really hot”. Father and daughter walked away and went to another nearby bar that instead accepted the payment without problems.
