The document published on the website of the “(new)Pci“, an acronym that is difficult to identify and until now unknown to the general public. The page was discovered on the web by the exponents of Brothers of Italy who have defined it as a real “proscription list“, calling for a bipartisan condemnation.

Among the many interventions by centre-right politicians, there is also that of the President of the Senate, Ignatius LaRussawho invites us not to lower our guard: “I find it very serious that the new Communist Party has published on its website the names and surnames of politicians, journalists and entrepreneurs, ‘guilty’ of having supported Israel. This is a serious and unacceptable attack on freedom of thought and a worrying one security threat of the people involved. I hope for firm and unanimous condemnation”.

For the Jewish community of Rome “only the instrument of the proscription list was missing, and of the public pillory with names and surnames, to complete the disheartening repertoire of a resurgent anti-Semitism that increasingly raises its voice and the level of its threats. Pointing out the targets of a racist, visceral, never defeated hatred is in itself a form of violence and incitement to violence, on which we invite the political and cultural world to express itself in a clear, unequivocal and above all unanimous manner, because the very values on which our democracy is founded are at stake”.

The document was also condemned by Pd which announces ainterrogation parliamentarian on the matter: “A delirious press release from an anti-Semitic group, calling itself the New Italian Communist Party, is circulating in these hours. It draws up a proscribed list of people, associations, entities and businesses to be boycotted and attacked for their relations with Israel and the Jewish world. It is the umpteenth episode in a long series of anti-Semitic acts”. For the deputy of Italy Alive, Maria Elena Boschithat list “disturbs and terrifies. A list that evokes the darkest moments in history of our country”.
