“I entered an abandoned house and it was full of toys: I felt watched, it was scary”

The scariest house in the world? It’s full of toysThey can swear to it. Mitch Johnson And Jake Parrwho by profession do the urban explorers and stumbled upon a creepy house in Scotland.

“It was probably one of the scariest places I’ve ever been,” Johnson told New York Post -, if I have to be honest, because I wasn’t entirely sure that there wasn’t someone inside the stuffed animals.”

The two boys spent more than six hours in the car to reach Selkirk, Scotland, looking for an abandoned house which they had heard about through word of mouth. But the accommodation hid a dark history: the woman who lived there, in fact, had accumulated hundreds of toys after her husband’s death.

Although not entirely certain that the house was the one they were looking for, the two friends they managed to get in through a crack in the back door. “I have visited many mental institutions alone and this was the scariest place i have ever visited – Johnson confessed -, there was a strange atmosphere that made me feel uncomfortable. There were some real collector’s items in there, some really rare dolls. There were like 200 or 300 Cabbage Patch dolls.. Some of these are worth a thousand dollars each.” And yet, that feeling he felt did not go away. The uneasiness increased step by step inside that house. The reason? The dolls: “I felt watched. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I drove six and a half hours to get there, but I really couldn’t wait to get out of that place.”

Not even the call of work changed Johnson and Parr’s mind, who fled after a few dozen minutes: “It was the strangest place I’ve ever been,” concluded the explorer, desolate.
