Children crying, people feeling sick, the situation on the plane was getting worse. We were practically out of breath. We called the police, demanding to get off that plane”. All the passengers left the plane like this, says Savella, with their suitcases. “The doctors had to help those who, between panic attacks and shortness of breath, were feeling sick”, adds the passenger. Sent back to the airport, the passengers awaited a new communication and went through the checks again. But there “no one has told us anything else“. “After hours we ask for information and the answer we are given is the following: ‘The plane has taken off. It’s your fault for getting off. Now you have to pay for a new plane’“. After the damage, therefore “also the mockery“. In the end, the company, after hours of “screaming and protesting,” “promised us a hotel room to spend the night on a bed and the possibility of paying, at our expense, for a new flight, and then reimbursed us for everything, with receipts in hand, in the future.” However, Savella denounces, at 7:15 in the morning the room had not yet been found, at least not for everyone, but only for a lucky few. Luca, he says, then organized himself by taking a flight to Bologna and then one to Bari, not finding direct flights to his destination.
