Meeting at the Ministry of Education, Uil unionist removed by the Carabinieri. Bombers: “Very serious fact”

“I was removed from office by the head of the ministry Luca Volonté Why I am a member of Uil Scuola Rua. I was forced to leave the meeting even accompanied by the police”. To tell the story of the case that broke out yesterday in Viale Trastevere and which has already been brought to the attention of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarellahe is the trade unionist Pasquale Raimondo who went to the Mim on Thursday morning to take part in an information meeting on the permanent placements of ATA staff. All the other union members sat down at that table but Raimondo was ordered to leave to the point that the intervention of the Carabinieri was requested. An exclusion ordered because and as a result of the new wording of articles five and six of the Ccnl education and research sector 2019/2021 which have limited, and therefore limited, respectively, the information and the discussion to the only subjects holding integrative bargaining, that is, the trade union organizations that have signed the sectoral Ccnl.

Let us remember, in fact, that Uil was the only one not to sign: now that failure to sign is having serious consequences on their role because they are essentially prevented from accessing the same information and data as others that are necessary to carry out their duties. “A provision – explains the national secretary of Uil Scuola, Joseph D’Aprile – which is placed in open and evident violation of both the Constitution both of the law. We will use the jurisdictional route to claim sacrosanct rights, constitutionally guaranteed, in respect of the people we represent and above all to defend the freedom of thought and opinion – inherent in the union I represent – which certainly cannot be called into question by not signing an employment contract”.

It must be said – moreover – that there is a contradiction in the Palace of Viale Trastevere: on the one hand, in fact, the Minister of Education and Merit, Joseph Valditaraon July 26th, had called the UIL to a national information meeting on the recruitment of teaching staff, held on July 31st, while a few days later a manager of the same organization was blocked by a ministry official.

The general secretary of UIL also intervened on the issue Pier Paolo Bombardiers: “Talking about anti-union conduct is reductive: here we are faced with a act perpetrated in contempt of the rights guaranteed by our Constitution. And that this happened during a meeting in a ministry of the Republic is unheard of, very serious and disturbing”. Not only that. “It is surprising and worrying – continues Bombardieri – the silence not only of Minister Valditara, but also of Minister Zangrillo, who has never expressed himself, up to now, on the exclusion from the information and discussion tables of a representative union, by consensus and according to the criteria of the law, such as the Uil”.
